Mom created this quilt for her sister-in-law in exchange for the beautiful needlepoint (see the picture below). Aunt Leslie had this to say about her gift:
"Since I sew, I have a real appreciation for how much work is involved in producing a quilt and although I wanted one, I would never have dreamed of asking for one. When she offered to make one in exchange for a needlework (that I love to do), I jumped at the opportunity and am now the proud owner of a beautiful family heirloom."
